When I arrived at the hospital on Tuesday I stayed there with Amanda during the delivery and through her recovery. She was doing well enough to be discharged on Friday afternoon, so that's when the two of us finally came home. Sam and Max remain at the hospital in the NICU. On Saturday the boys graduated from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to the Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit (both just called "the NICU"). Amanda and I have been visiting the boys daily for care time and skin-to-skin time, but we're limited to a few hours per day in order to not interfere too much with their feeding and development schedule.
We just got back from our visit today, and we already miss them dearly. Here are a few photos from today. Also, Amanda took Max's temperature and changed her first diaper ever!

We are so excited for you all, and look forward to watching the boys as they grow up! Best wishes from Annie and Rick!
