The lead up

After many weeks of my procrastination, on Thursday April 16th Amanda insisted that we finally take some pregnancy photos. That afternoon we took some photos in Amanda's mom's backyard, enjoying the beautiful spring weather.

That day was the very last opportunity to get those nice photos, because that night at 12:30am Amanda's water broke. We went to the hospital and the doctors verified that everything was alright, however they recommended that Amanda stay at the hospital in the antepartum ward until the twins arrived. Due to new rules because of the pandemic, I wasn't allowed to stay with her, so, sadly, we parted ways at 5am.

I was allowed to visit twice a week, so I visited that Saturday evening, and planned to come again on Tuesday. That Tuesday morning Amanda started having contractions, and after enough time had passed it became clear that labor was starting. I rushed off to the hospital, it was baby time!
