Late June

Max and Sam hanging out

It's been a quiet week with the boys. Last Monday they had their two-month pediatrician checkup, at which they received their first set of vaccinations. Amanda was worried that it would be hard to see them in pain, and they did cry, but not that much so it wasn't a very difficult experience. They calmed down rather quickly, and overall they cried much less than when they're hungry or tired. Sam and Max were a bit fussier than usual over the next couple of days, likely from their immune response to the vaccinations, or soreness at the site of injection. It's a quite small price to pay for a lifetime of protection from some terrible diseases.

Also, as predicted, their weights were between nine and ten pounds. Max measured 9.09 pounds, and Sam came in at 9.31 pounds. The difference between them is closing, and they're continuing to grow at a healthy pace. I've been keeping track of their rate of growth, and at the current pace they grow a tenth of a pound per day, or one pound each in about one and a half to two weeks. Of course this can change, but this allows us to estimate when they might be a particular size.

I didn't take many photos this week, but here are a few:

Our friend Dafna brought over this delicious dinner of salmon, potatoes, and homemade walnut bread. It was great, thanks Dafna! Note to all, we're still accepting meal donations (but, I mean, who isn't?) :D

Yum

A nice view one evening
