Introductions are made

Sam and Max met their Great Uncle Bruce this past August 22nd. Bruce has been a close family friend for decades, and has known Amanda and Sarah their entire lives. We were all glad that the timing worked to arrange a meetup in Alexis' home, as Bruce currently lives a two hour drive away. It was a lovely afternoon, and with enough adults around to always be holding a baby, Sam and Max were content and well behaved (mostly). Here are some photos from the visit.

Maximus Chunkimus

When Amanda and I knew we were having twin boys it took us a while to settle on the names. We agreed upon Samuel easily, and we liked the name Max, but we weren't sure whether we wanted the actual name to be Maximilian, Maxwell, Maximus or some other made-up Max name, like Maxward or Maxepher. We agreed that the made-up names were too silly, but I was enthusiastic about Maximus for a while. In the end, normalcy won out and we went with Maxwell, but sometimes I still call him Maximus when Amanda isn't around. :)
They are beautiful...ok, handsome!! Looking perfect. Not chunky... PERFECT!! I am so envious of all the visitors, even Charlie. Sigh... <3 Cousin Nancimus :) hahaha
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful blog update! They get cuter all the time.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Bruce was able to meet the boys. They look so very cute in these photos.
