Sam and Max are six months old

Behold, pants!

Today Sam and Max are six months old. Half a year, already! Looking back at the photos, the size difference between five and six months is nowhere near as large as the size difference between earlier months. What the photos don't capture are the behavior differences and growing personalities. In the last post we mentioned that Max had begun flipping from front to back and vice versa. We hoped it wouldn't interrupt night sleep, but alas, there was a pretty restless week immediately after that development. Max seems to have "figured it out" and has been sleeping through the night again more recently, but we don't feel quite as confident yet that this will be the case on any given night.

As usual, the boys continue to be more alert, look around the room more, show more interest in objects like books and toys, and shove as many things into their mouths as possible. Sources say that Sam enjoys licking the stuffed animals like a popsicle. What a ham!

Here are some photos from the past few weeks, for your viewing enjoyment.

Thank you to my Uncle Ted and Aunt Dorcas for the adorable sweaters for the boys. They fit perfectly, and are as cozy as could be!

Max and Sam say "See you all next time!"

For whatever reason it seems like Sam is disproportionately represented in this latest batch of photos. We'll have to make sure that Max also gets a chance to shine in the spotlight. Next time!
