Sam and Max are ten months old

Sam and Max say "Thank you Grandpa and Nonie for the outfits!"

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind of development for the boys. Since the last post, Sam and Max have become able to stand while holding onto our kitchen island, and even pull them selves up onto the shelf and move around up there. They could even pull themselves up to the second level shelf of the island, so I had to do much child proofing in the area. When the boys pull themselves to stand they are able to sit at their leisure, and just today Sam figured out how to get into a sitting position anywhere on the floor without having to pull himself to a stand first. They're growing up so fast!

In addition to their growing physical capabilities, both Sam and Max are babbling much more and making many more sounds. They both make "da da da" sounds, so perhaps their first word was already Dada? It is unclear. Max really enjoys sticking his thumb into his mouth and saying "ga ga ga ga". We really like the cute sounds they make, except when they decide to practice these sounds at two o'clock in the morning.

It feels like so much life has gone by since the last post, so here is some of it captured in photos.

Bath time for baby mens

Since the boys are so stable in sitting these days, we decided to try bathing them both at the same time. It's less work than bathing them one-at-a-time in the smaller plastic tub, but it's still a lot of work since they're so slippery and squirmy. We don't do this alone, this is still a two parent job.

The next few photos are unrelated to Sam and Max; however, the amount of snow we briefly got in Seattle was impressive. It broke a 52 year record, and certainly changed the landscape, reminding me of life back home in Canada.

A funny sight

You can see the depth of the snow quite easily on the cars
