Sam and Max's first birthday

 

Max and Sam are one year old today!

This will be the last shot with the "months" blanket, but don't worry, obviously I plan on continuing to post updates and photos on this blog. Here is a look back at all of the monthly photos with this blanket:

Isn't it neat to see the entire series? I really enjoy it. Now that this series is complete, I have to confess how difficult is has been to get these photos of the boys since about the eight month mark. Before then it was easy to set the boys down, snap a few photos and pick the best one. Starting at eight months the boys would squirm and crawl, and mess up the blanket, and grab at the gold ribbon circling the number, and make all sorts of difficulty. They're wonderful and lovely and adorable, but they certainly have started to form their own agendas by now!

We had a birthday celebration for the boys today with just us four as a family. We will have a slightly larger celebration this coming Saturday with more family, hopefully outside if the weather cooperates. Here are photos from our celebration today:
