I've been meaning to put together a post about the family gathering we had for Sam and Max's first birthday, but I haven't yet had the time or energy to make it happen. Here are the photos, with a few captions. Enjoy!

When both Tessa and Nora each turned one year old, I gave them a gift of a six-pack of beer. In reality the beer was for Ed, however I thought it was funny at the time. One year old babies have no sense of possession, so they aren't upset at all about opening a "gift" that doesn't belong to them. Ed has returned the favor with a gift of beer, a six pack each for Sam and Max. I'll help them drink the beers until they develop their taste for it themselves.
