Sam and Max turn two

Max and Sam celebrate turning two

I feel like I say this often on the blog, but its hard to believe the boys are already two years old. The time goes so quickly! We celebrated at home on their actual birthday, on Thursday, and had a bigger family celebration today at Grandma's house. The first few pictures are at home, and the rest are from the Sunday celebration.

Sam doesn't yet know what he's in for

Max quickly figured out that cake is delicious

Sam likes cake, too

A double rainbow

On their actual birthday we saw a spectacular rainbow, perhaps the best I've ever seen. Obviously this twin rainbow is an omen of good luck for Sam and Max, right?

Sam enjoys it too, with Baba supervising

As an aside, this backyard garden gets a lot of mileage as a backdrop for our family photos.

Grandpa and Sam, together at long last

Grandpa and Nonie (not captured, unfortunately) recently moved back to the Pacific North West after snow-birding in Arizona for the past few years. This is the first time in about half a year that they've gotten to see the boys. Hopefully we'll get to see much more of them now that they're closer by.

These were some squirmy boys today

Max was distracted today and really wanted to be playing with any of his new toys, rather than being held for photos.

New books!

It was a fun and hectic day. The boys got so many new toys (and a few books and clothes). Thank you to everyone that helped us celebrate, in person or in spirit.
