The Arboretum

Max and Sam, brothers forever

With today being Memorial Day here in the US, we had a long weekend, so we decided to take the boys for a stroll to the arboretum. It's a lovely place for a stroll, and we got some nice pictures. Here are some photos of today, and a few from the past few weeks.

Max poses in his new rain suit

These rain suits are mandatory for toddlers in Seattle. Not just figuratively- if you send your kids to daycare they require you to have them so the kids can play outside. The boys enjoyed wearing the suits, and they did a good job of keeping Sam and Max dry at the playground. We still have to find some properly fitting rainboots for them though.

Notice Max sucking his left thumb? He loves doing this, and its always that exact thumb. Sam never got into the habit.

We let the boys wander a bit, and it wasn't too difficult to keep them on the path. They found this log that they decided to lean against, and it made for a really nice backdrop. The lush green and many flowers are so beautiful. It was an overcast day, but really fresh as many of the areas smelled of lovely flowers.

Max is a tad under the weather today, so he demanded to be carried a lot.

To be honest, Max didn't like this and really only wanted to be carried in our arms. Poor little guy!

It was a lovely day, and I'm glad we got out for a short stroll.
